Review Smartphones

So let’s say that you have been searching for a way that you can make your iPhone into something other than a cell phone.  I mean, if you are going to make a cell phone into something other than a cell phone, the iPhone should be the phone that you turn to right?  That is exactly why the iPhone has so many different accessories and Sirius has just added to the iPhone accessory vault.

In August, they actually came up with the iPhone XM SkyDock that will actually make your iPhone or iPod Touch into a satellite radio.  To me … that is something that I do not think that I would particularly like, if only because I hate Sirius radio, however … the SkyDock does look pretty freakin’ cool.

The catch?  The SkyDock itself is around $120.00 and then you have to pay another $13.00 a month in order to listen to the radio … kind of a rip right?

In a world where you can do everything and have everything on your phone, it is a wonder why companies are still coming out with slider phones … however; I have to admit that I am very excited about the Samsung S3100 Slider Phone’s.  These phones are not only chic looking, but one of them is pink!  One thing that I love about the latest technology is all of the colors that you can get your phone in and pink is definitely one I love!

Samsung has finally unveiled the Samsung S3100 Slider Phone and while these phones might be small, they pack a huge punch.  These entry-level phones offer a 2.1-inch TFT display with 176 x 220 pixels, 262k colors, a 1.3MP camera, an MP3 player, a NetFront 3.5 Web browser, email, a microSD card slot, Bluetooth 2.1 and supports quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) connectivity.

Not to mention that you can talk up for 530 minutes without having any worries and standby is 490 hours!  Stay tuned for price and availability!

Now that we have discussed a few of the accessories for phones, let’s get back to the grind and talk about some applications for phones that are going to be available – for example, Microsoft Office Mobile?  Oh yes, it is coming and it is coming to Nokia.  Nokia is a phone company that has grown and grown and I swear – just when I think that this particular phone carrier company is going to fizzle, they come back with something like this.

Nokia is not the leading provider in the way of smartphones, but I think that their sales are going to skyrocket as soon as people find out that Microsoft Office Mobile has teamed up with Nokia and it is going to be on every single smartphone that Nokia produces – per their contract of course.  The great thing about Microsoft Office Mobile is that at work … I use Microsoft office all of the time and now – now you will be able to get all of those documents right on your phone!

This particular office is going to contain Word, PowerPoint, Excel and OneNote – all of which I use on a daily basis.  I am so excited about this and I can not wait for it to happen!

When it comes to cell phone carriers, it has to be said that I do not think that many companies actually think through how cool the cell phone carrier actually looks – honestly, I want something that is not only going to hold my phone, but is also going to look pretty cool.  That is exactly what the Precision HSD is all about.  This AGF product is definitely one of the coolest looking protective cases for the iPhone I have ever seen and honestly – it is the most dependable thing in the world.

The cool thing is that this particular cell phone carrier actually opens up almost like a door and it bends itself a little so it truly does fit the iPhone perfectly inside.  It has a soft microfiber lining on the inside and it is engineered with a hinge so you will be able to grab that phone call with no problem at all!

The best part?  It is only about thirty-five bucks!  It also has a 180-degree swivel belt  clip which is ever-so-much fun to play with!

Finally, finally, finally it is here – a solar powered phone charger.  While people are constantly looking for a way to be more green and eco-friendly, Green House is coming out with something that every single person should invest in: a solar powered phone charger.  To me, being green is something that is a need now – it is no longer a choice.  The environment needs us and we need to be there for it.

While this phone charger specifically for Japanese phones, I think that eventually – someone in the states will come up with a device to charge our phones using solar energy.  It takes about thirty to forty minutes to charge your phone completely and while we can not use this charger just yet, it’s still pretty cool!

So if you want to be green and have a Japanese phone … this should be your phone charger!

If there is one phone that I am super excited about, it is going to be the Samsung Armani 2 phone!  This smartphone is definitely cool, totally smooth and by far the best phone on the market … soon hopefully.  The fact that Armani has attached their name onto this particular phone is very telling as well, for all of you label whores out there.  Samsung to me is the crème de la crème when it comes to phones, not only are they cool looking but the technology inside is awesome!

Take the Samsung B7620 Armani for example, it is packed with all sorts of technology, for example the handset will run on Windows Mobile 6.1 Pro and feature a 800MHz processor, A-GPS, WiFi, a dedicated graphics chip, a HTML browser, Bluetooth, a stereo FM radio with RDS, a music player (MP3, WAV, e-AAC+, WMA, AMR), a video player (DivX, XviD, MPEG4, 3gp, H.263, H.264) and a business card scanner.  All of this and more!

While there is no word on pricing right at the moment, I have to say that this particular phone is going to be expensive … but cool!

Sony is doing some crazy things with the knowledge and people that they employ – not only are they coming up with things like the Sony Ericsson ‘Kiki’, but they are actually making sure that this phone is packed with all sorts of technology!  Personally, I think that Sony is by far one of the best brands of phones on the market today.  Sony has a. been around for quite a while and b. they have been producing quality products for such a long time, I think that the Sony Ericsson ‘Kiki’ phones are going to be some of the best phones in the world.

If you still have no idea what the Sony Ericsson ‘Kiki’ is, it is actually a phone that comes equipped with a glasslike display instead of a regular one that allows all sorts of pictures to be projected on it and it can actually be viewed from either side of the phone.  That is what is so cool about the Sony Ericsson ‘Kiki’ phones!

So wait – I will keep you updated as I hear on the Sony Ericsson ‘Kiki’ phone’s and when they might be released!

The iPhone – oh, how the world changed when this phone came out and I have to tell you that I think it actually changed for the better.  While I do not have an iPhone, I see them floating all over and upon writing for this blog, I have learned a hell of a lot about them, iPhones are the single most compatible phones with pretty much anything and there is pretty much any kind of phone accessory for them.

Take the latest iPhone phone accessory, the iPhone projector.  The MiLi Pro is a LCOS, LED-driven projector for the iPhone and iPod Touch is so incredible!  All you need to do is put a screen on your wall and you will be able to watch anything that you want via your projector on your iPhone!  Personally, with projectors becoming the ‘hot’ thing, I think that this is absolutely worth purchasing and just getting an iPhone or iPod Touch for!

The projector provides a 640×480 resolution which is a lot with 10 lumens, VGA and RCA inputs, and a dock connector.  In September, this will be the hot item for that is when it comes out!

It has to be said that T-Mobile, in my experience is by far the best phone company in the world.  Not only do they have some of the best phones in the world out there, but their overall service is absolutely incredible!  I have been with T-Mobile forever and it has to be said that I love everything about them!  Enough about my love for T-Mobile though and onto the actual phone that we are going to talk about, the T-Mobile Dash!

This phone is one of the best on the market … well it will be once it comes out.  The T-Mobile Dash features Microsoft’s Windows Mobile 6.1 and features a full QWERTY keyboard, trackball and 65K-color TFT display. It also organizes users with voice calling, messaging, support for personal and business email, GPS for location-based services and synchronization with Microsoft Outlook.

This particular phone is sexy too, it has a glossy-black finish and all sorts of different red accents and it looks absolutely beautiful!

Samsung, as you all know is absolutely one of the leading cell phone makers – if not the leading cell phone maker and I have to say that Samsung is adding another phone to their already expansive selection of phones – the Symbian S60 Smartphone.  This phone is actually an incredible candybar phone that will sport an all around sexy metallic case and have a 3MP camera with an LED flash on it.

This phone will also have a DivX playback support, as well as be able to connect to both Bluetooth and GPS.  It also has a USB 2.0 and HSDPA connectivity, so really, with this incredible phone you can stay pretty much connected to anything at all.  While this phone is still on the low down and unannounced phase, it is definitely coming soon!

So watch out for the Symbian S60 Smartphone, it is going to come quick!
